Apologies for my sparse posting. I have lately stopped goofing around at my day job, meaning I have to goof around in my spare time instead, leaving limited resources for blogging.
Here are my favorite links from the last week or two.
California: The haves and have-nots. With power comes privilege.
Wall Street gears up to trade California IOUs. You couldn’t make this stuff up.
Off-balance sheet Federal liabilities (Econbrowser). “Just how much has the U.S. government promised to pay?” Nothing terribly new here, but it is nice to see it all in one place with pretty graphs.
GM: Please don’t buy our stock! The efficient market at work.
Malcolm Gladwell shreds a book by the editor of Wired. Actually, he shreds technological utopians in general. A must-read.
Bill Gross says buy bonds. I am sorry; this just never gets old.
