Between recent traveling and doing actual, you know, work… I have not had much time for blogging lately. Just remember: Never trust any blogger who a) posts frequently or b) makes predictions.

Ever wonder how state pension funds pick their investment vehicles? Bribery, of course.

Outsourcing on the rise (via Mankiw).

Treasury Department Issues Recall (Mankiw again).

Mankiw is on a roll lately with the fun links… Check out this quick quiz for econ students. I scored 16/18, including missing the last question (and saying “duh”). I suppose that is OK since my only formal training in economics is watching a few Ron Paul videos.

seriously, that econ quiz was larded with keynesian claptrap. in the real world of the last 30 years, increases in labor producitivity didn’t lead to lower inflation and higher employment — but lower real wages, disguised real inflation rates, and global wage arbitrage. speaking of which, mish is currently serving up mankiw’s liqufied nads in a harvard grace cup.
